MOORE, Joyce J. – of Davison, age 84, passed away November 1, 2012. A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM Monday, November 5, 2012 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Rev. Harold K. Polk, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 AM until time of service on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County.
Joyce was born in Flint, MI on June 18, 1928, daughter of the late Bernie and Jesse (Richardson) Root. She married Robert Joel Moore on October 26, 1963 in Flint and he preceded her in death on August 14, 1994. Joyce was a lifetime member of the Davison VFW Post #4087. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing cards and watching wildlife. Joyce worked at AC Spark Plug for 30 years.
Joyce is survived by her daughters, Shirley Moore and Tammy VanOrder; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 7 sisters.
