Allen, Christopher Patrick of Flushing, age 50, died Friday, August 12, 2016, at McLaren-Flint. Cremation has taken place. A memorial Mass will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2016, at St. Robert Catholic Church. Fr. Gordon Reigle will officiate. The family will receive friends from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday at Rossell Funeral Home and 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church until the time of the Mass. A Rosary will be prayed 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the McLaren Hospitality House or the Flushing Christian Outreach Center.
Chris was born in Flint, Michigan, on November 19, 1965, the son of Patrick and Judith (Budzinski) Allen. He grew up in the town of Flushing and graduated from Flushing High School. Chris spent over 30 years in the Tool & Die industry, and he spent the past 19 years with General Motors. He thoroughly loved his co-workers and job. Chris enjoyed sports and was a life-long Tigers and Lions fan. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his Grandpa B. Chris especially loved playing video games, 4-wheeling and snowmobiling with his sons.
Chris is survived by his sons, Vincent Christopher Allen, Nathan Christopher Allen; parents, Patrick and Judith Allen; siblings, Gregory (Kelly) Allen, Nicholas Allen; nieces; nephews; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, and his beloved dog, Roscoe. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Donald and Kathryn Budzinski and George and Winifred Allen. |
