LAWRENCE, Alma J. - Age 86, of Edgewater, FL, formerly of Flint, died Wednesday, January 23, 2019. Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Monday, January 28, 2019 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc Township. Pastor Matthew Conrad officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday from 6-8 PM, Sunday from 1-4 and 6-8 PM, and Monday from 10 AM until the time of the service.
Alma was born October 3, 1932 in Humphrey, AR, the daughter of Johnie F. and Beulah M. (Ashley) Dollar. She was a graduate of Flint Central High School. She married Melvin D. Lawrence October 2, 1972 in Flint and he preceded her in death June 20, 1995. Alma has resided in Florida for the past 15 years, previously residing in Flint, Bonnetrerre, MO, and Poplar Bluff, MO. She was a member of United Pentecostal Church of West Palm Beach, FL.
Surviving are: her children, Marcia L. Morgan of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Karen S. Stinson of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Marian (Bill) Castleman of Lady Lake, FL, and Steven P. Morgan of Oak Hill, FL; grandchildren, Todd and Matt Conrad, Jana K. Morgan, Aaron J. Bilbrey, and Stephanie Chachere; 9 great grandchildren; step daughters, Michelle (Tim) Wysocki and Susan Lawrence both of California; sisters, Carol (Gene) McDaniels of Missouri, Pat (Everett) Neeley of Missouri, Noreen (Charles) Beardsley of Illinois, and Kathy Parks of Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Larry, Paul, and Jerry Hickson. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
