Daniel D. Messick, 74, of Gladwin, Michigan, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2013. He was born on March 17, 1939, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Luella and Clarence Hartwick. He married Sandra Brady on October 22, 1960, in Flint, Michigan. He had lived in Gladwin County for the past 20 years, previously residing in Flint, and he was employed as a General Foreman at General Motors Truck and Bus. He was a member of F.O.E. Gladwin Aerie 3292. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife: Sandra of Gladwin; daughter: Rebecca (John) Macorkindale of Ann Arbor, MI; son: Jeffery Messick of Gladwin; son: Michael Messick of Rose City, MI; grandchildren: Michael, Trenton, Danielle; sister in-law: Bettie Arthur of Middletown, OH; brother in-law: Harold Brady of Owosso, MI; sister in-law: Thelma (Arden) Bradley of St. Joseph, MI; brother in-law: Robert (Debi) Brady of Glennie, MI; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents: Luella and Clarence Hartwick; mother in-law and step father in-law: Myrtle (Elbert) Combs; father in-law: John Brady; brother in-law: The Reverend Bill Arthur; sister in-law: Janet Brady; and nephews David and Mark Brady. Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place and he will be interred at Sunset Hills Cemetery in Flint, Michigan.
