Dale Wayne Molesworth, age 77, of Swartz Creek, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024. A memorial service will take place 12:00 PM on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Chaplin Adam Doyle will preside along with Army Military Honors presenting. Visiting will take place from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Wednesday. Private interment will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may direct memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund in Memory Program, or Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.

Dale was born on February 18, 1947 in Croswell, MI the son of Charles and Catherine (Farley) Molesworth. He graduated from Beecher High School, class of 1965. Dale and Karen Hoyt were united in marriage on September 3, 1966 in Mt. Morris. He enlisted into the United States Army, proudly serving during the Vietnam War until his honorable discharge. Dale was honored with the Purple Heart for his selfless act and bravery. He worked for Buick for 31 years before his retirement in 1999. Dale was a member of the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans and the Moose Lodge. He was "Jack of all trades," always wiling to help and repair for his family and friends. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and stained glass.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Karen; daughter, Christie (Tony) Dando; brother, Donald (Carol Ann) Molesworth; sisters, LaDonna Botos and Marla (Randy) Henry; mother-in-law, Patsy Noffsinger; brothers-in-law, Lee J (Annie) Hoyt and Doug Hoyt (Theresa); sister-in-law, Kathy (Craig) Mills; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Nelson and Rose Dake and Laynett and Brendt Cole. In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by his sister, Bonnie Maynard; and brother-in-law, Gary Botos. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
