GILLILAND-FLEWELLING, Mary - Of Swartz Creek formerly of Burton, age 79, died Sunday, March 31, 2013 at Avalon Hospice.
A Memorial Service will be held 2pm Friday April 5, 2013
at Evergreen Cemetery, 3415 East Hill Road, Grand Blanc,
Reverend Maurice Horn officiating.
Per Mary’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to Karmanos Cancer Institute.
Mary was born in Canalou, Missouri on October 1, 1933. Mary graduated from Essex High School, in Essex, MO. She was a member of Lincoln Park United Methodist Church.
Surviving are husband, Joe Flewelling;
son, Doug Gilliland of Madison Heights;
step-daughters, Candice Flewelling of Burton and Lesa and husband Mike Virigilo of Otisville;
grandson, Alexander Gilliland of Royal Oak;
several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Howard Gilliland and several siblings,
