Martin Stonhouse age 67 of Durand, passed away Friday, August 16, 2024 at his home. A memorial service will be 1:00 PM Saturday, August 24, 2024 at the Eagles of Durand. Arrangements are being handled by Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Durand Chapel.
Martin Carl Stonhouse was born February 23, 1957 in Flint, a son of Robert and Sara (Saiko) Stonhouse. On October 7, 2017 he married Teresa Dunlop on the day of the Michigan and Michigan State football game. The families were divided wearing apparel for both teams. Martin enjoyed fishing, hunting, feeding birds, rock collecting, gardening, and Michigan State Football. Prior to his retirement he worked at General Motors as a pipefitter for 33 years.
Martin is survived by his wife, Teresa "Terri" Stonhouse; brothers, Bill (Cathy) Stonhouse and Rod Stonhouse; stepson, Joe Sak; one niece and many nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Stonhouse; parents, Robert and Sara Stonhouse.
