WILKINS, Rocky Ples - Of Swartz Creek, age 82, died Tuesday, May 14, 2019. He was born on December 4, 1936.
A private service will be held.
Rocky was married to the one and only love of his life, Betty Ann (Hill) for 62 years. He was a wonderful father to five daughters who will forever love and miss him. Rocky enjoyed and loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved and deeply missed his dog, Chum. Rocky was “The Best” house painter for over 40 years. He had a deep passion and found comfort in listening to his country music. Even with his blindness he played guitar and harmonica. Hank, Fats, and Jimmie Rodgers brought life to his blind eyes. Daddy enjoyed Taco and Trivia nights with Terry and T.C. and Guitar Days with Cindy, Cathy and Toot.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Betty;
daughters, Mandy Griffen, Cindy (Rick) Turner, Cathy Wilkins, Terry (Terrey) Cussans and Tracy (Harry IV) Bushell;
grandchildren, Sara (Shane) Wilkins Rappas, Autumn Griffen, Matthew Ples (Arie) Howard and Travis Harry V (Krystal) Bushell;
great-grandchildren, Miles, Harry VI, Gracie, Rocky and Isabel.
Thank you to his caregivers from TLC. A deep appreciation to son-in-law, T.C. for all the love you showed our dad.
Daddy, we’re proud of how you rode out the storm. You will always be with us.
