BAKER, Curtis - Of Flint, age 81, died Saturday, May 5, 2018 at McLaren-Flint.
Funeral service will be held 11AM Saturday, May 12, 2018 at North Baptist Church, 4004 Lennon Road, Flint,
Pastor Wally Rose officiating.
Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.
Visitation 2-8pm Friday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Visitation 10am Saturday at church until the time of the service.
Curtis was born in Kingsport, Tennessee on May 16, 1936, the son of Clayborne and Laveda Baker. He married Helene in Stuttgart, Germany and they were happily married for 60 years. Curtis was employed with CJ Construction for 36 years. He was a faithful member of North Baptist Church in Flint. Curtis loved music and was talented in playing the harmonica, guitar, clarinet saxophone and piano. Curtis served in the Army from 1953-1956. He loved his family, church family and loved serving the Lord.
Surviving are wife, Helene;
daughters, Cindy (David) Stevens and Christine Alfaro;
grandchildren, Christopher (Sarah) Stevens, Michael Stevens, Peter John (Katie) Alfaro and Curtis (Amy) Alfaro;
and 7 great-grandchildren.
brother, Robert (Pat) Baker;
and sister Jeanette Baker;
and uncle, Gerhard Schmieder.
He will be reunited with her grandson, Ryan, in Heaven.
