FLORINE, Bethany Kay – of Flint, age 55, died Monday, October 9, 2017 at McLaren-Flint. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 13, 2017 at St. Paul Lutheran Church 402 South Ballenger Highway, Flint, Pastor Jeffrey Walsh officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to National Kidney Foundation, American Foundation for the Blind or St. Paul Lutheran Church Endowment Fund. Visitation 3-5 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road in Flint. Bethany will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday.
Bethany was born in Flint, Michigan and attended St. Paul Lutheran School and Carman High School. She was a life-long member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She enjoyed living in her own apartment in an historic house near the Flint Cultural Center. Bethany's smile lightened the hearts of many. Despite her many medical problems, she enjoyed life, loved all her family very much and was faithful to her Lord.
She is survived by her
parents, Robert and Shirley(Scott) Florine;
brother, David and wife Sharon of Barnhart, Missouri;
brother-in-law, Ronald Bleck of Wisconsin;
nieces and nephews, Jacob and Kim Florine of Indiana, Sara (Florine) and Corey Green of Indiana, Katie (Florine) and James Hueseman of Jenison, Michigan, Jason and Leanne Bleck of Wisconsin, Aaron and Erin Bleck of Wisconsin;
great nieces and nephews, Malachi, Isaiah and Elijah Green, Joshua, Caleb and Levi Hueseman, Simon and Samuel Florine, Audrey and Rylee Bleck, Emery and Callen Bleck.;
uncles and aunts, Robert and Eileen Scott, Howard and Mary Ann Florine, Roger and Janet(Florine) Erickson.
special friends, Susan Hardisty and Stephen Coe.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert and Bruce and sister, Linda Florine Bleck.
