McMILLAN, Mary Ann Y. - Age 91, of Flint Twp., formerly of Flushing, died June 7, 2013. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 2415 Bagley St., Flint. Burial will follow in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Monday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, with a Scripture Service at 7 PM. Visitation will also be held from 10 AM until the time of Mass Monday at the church. Those desiring may make contributions to St. John Vianney Catholic Church. Mary Ann was born November 26, 1921 in LeSueur, MN, the daughter of Yvonne and Raymond Schwartz. She graduated from Flint Central High School in 1941. She was married to John McMillan on January 20, 1945 in Flint; he preceded her in death on September 2, 2004. Mrs. McMillan was a charter member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church where she was Secretary of Home School Council and a member of the Altar Society. She was also a member of Sigma Phi Gamma International Sorority, Chapter Gamma XI. She was a Secretary at Merchant and Mechanic Bank and also for Flint Schools. Mrs. McMillan loved to entertain in her home, spend time with family and enjoyed reading, especially biographies. Surviving are: daughter, Diane (Donald) Rockwell of Flint; son, Glen (Nancy) McMillan of Grand Blanc; five grandchildren, Greg and Susie Rockwell, Tim, Nikki and Amy McMillan. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Lorraine, Carmen and Delores. Special thanks to the staff of Woodhaven, the Aides from Homestead and McLaren Hospice.
