HANIFAN, Daniel L. - Of Burton, age 81, passed away Monday, October 6, 2014 at Genesys Regional Medical Center.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10am October 13, 2014 at All Saints Catholic Church, 4063 West Pierson Road, Flint, 48504
Monsignor Anthony Majchrowski officiating.
Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery at 1p.m.
Visitation 1-8pm Sunday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Rosary will be prayed 7pm Sunday evening at the funeral home. Mr. Hanifan will be at the church 9am Monday until the time of the Mass.
Daniel was born in Owosso, Michigan on May 25, 1933, the son of Helen (Chlebo) and Carl Hanifan. Daniel graduated from Owosso High School. He served in the Korean War. Daniel retired from General Motors in 2000 after 36 years of service.
Surviving are wife of 58 years, Marcelene “Marcie” of Burton;
daughter, Mary and husband Mark Bellamy of Vassar;
son, Daniel of Quitman, Georgia;
and also surviving are brother Patrick and wife Mary Ann of Grand Ledge.
DANIEL LOVED THE BEAUTY IN PEOPLE, ART AND NATURE AND WAS A BEAUTIFUL PERSON TO ALL THAT KNEW HIM.
