HAWRYLO, Clara J. – age 95, of Flint, MI, died Monday, December 12, 2016 at Fostrian Manor. Mrs. Hawrylo was born in Bessemer, MI on August 4, 1921, the daughter of John and Pearl (Rajski) Lukasavitz and had been a resident of Flint, MI since 1926. She was a graduate of Northern High School in 1939 and married Joseph R. Hawrylo on August 16, 1941 at All Saints Catholic Church. She was a former member of St. Agnes Catholic Church. Clara had previously been employed at AC Spark Plug during WWII. She enjoyed gardening, feeding the birds, and watching the wildlife. Surviving are two daughters, Bonita Fridline of Flint and Charlotte Borowski of Mt. Morris; grandchildren, Richard Mitchell, Dana Cantrell, Anthony Fridline, and Jennifer Borowski; 3 great-grandchildren, Nikki Adcock, Josh Chron, and Katelynn Cantrell; several great-great grandchildren. Sister, Agnes Rothe of Sylvan Lake; and sister-in-law, Bertha Hawrylo of Fenton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph R. Hawrylo, 7 brothers, a sister; son-in-law, Wayne Borowski; and great-grandson, Andrew Sather. The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice, the staff at Fostrian Manor, Bryan Davidson, who was like a son, and neighbor, Jean Richardson for all of their help. Friends may visit the family from 8AM-8PM on Thursday at Reigle Funeral Home – Sunset Chapel – 5501 W. Pierson Rd. Flushing, MI. The Funeral Service will be at 11AM Friday, December 16, 2016 at the funeral home with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Anthony Ferriell will officiate.
