Nickerson, Larry E. of Flushing, age 76, died Monday, March 27, 2017, at his home. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Larry was born in Flint, Michigan on July 31, 1940, the son of George and Hazel (Metty) Nickerson. He married Judith Niles on April 29, 1960, in Flushing. Larry worked for General Motors for 32 years, much of that time at Fisher-Body. After retirement in 1993, Larry and his wife moved to Central Lake. Larry was an avid outdoors-man and enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. He also enjoyed doing word search puzzles and loved spending time with his family and friends.
Larry is survived by his wife of 56 years, Judy; children, Larry Nickerson and Shanyn Nickerson, both of Flushing; granddaughter, Meghan Nickerson; brother, Robert and wife Karen Nickerson; loving nieces and nephews; and his favorite brother-in-law, Raymond “Bear” Fenton. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Marilyn Newman. |
