Eller, Gaylord E. of Flushing, age 87, died Monday, January 20, 2014, at his home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, January 24, 2014, at Rossell Funeral Home. Rev. Bruce Badder will officiate. Burial will follow at Flushing Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and 2-8 p.m. Thursday.
Gaylord was born in Flint, Michigan on September 29, 1926, the son of Harlow and Elsie (Radke) Eller. He married Wilma Hemstreet in Angola, Indiana on February 20, 1950. She preceded him in death on August 12, 2000. Gaylord proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a dedicated member of the U.A.W. and retired from General Motors after 40 years. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family.
Gaylord is survived by his children, Debbie and husband Tom Walter, Kevin Eller; grandchildren, Brent and wife Sonja Walter, Heather and husband Chris McLane, Tiffany and husband Brian Clifford; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. He was also preceded in death by his son, Gaylord Eller.
