MORSE, James – of Millington, age 75, died Monday, December 16, 2013 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held a 11 AM Thursday, December 19, 2013 at Birch Run United Methodist Church, 12265 Church St. in Birch Run. Pastor Bruce Malicoat officiating. Burial will be in Birch Run Cemetery. Friends may call at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Birch Run on Wednesday from 2-8PM and at the church on Thursday from 10 AM until time of services at 11 AM. Contributions may be made to West Forest United Methodist Church.
James was born April 23, 1938 to the late Carl and Emma (Cuddy) Morse. He married his childhood sweetheart, Patricia Buckley, on November 23, 1957. Mr. Morse retired from AC Spark Plug in 1994 with 32 years seniority. He was a member of West Forest United Methodist Church, Vienna Greens Golf Course and the UAW Local #651. He enjoyed golfing, hunting and carving walking sticks.
Surviving are: wife, Patricia; children, Scott Morse of Flushing, Traci (Jerry) Atwell of Clio, Cindy (Tom) Lupina of Clio; grandchildren, Stephanie, Whitney, Michael, Chelsea and Samuel; sisters, Sally Calcagno of Birch Run, Vivian (Jim) Wright of Clio, Rebecca Larose of Burton, Carol (Tom) McCormick of Lake Orion; many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
