SOCIA, Eoline Rae - age 96, formerly of Flint, died Monday, April 29, 2013 at United Hospice in Marlette, MI. Services will be held 1 PM Friday, May 3, 2013 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Rev. Kevin Harbin officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM until the time of service Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to United Hospice, 2770 Main St., Marlette, MI 48453. Mrs. Socia was born November 15, 1916 in Manteno, IL, the daughter of Otis and Birdena (Reed) Moore. She married John Socia on December 28, 1935 in Flint and he preceded her in death on September 14, 1994. Mrs. Socia had worked at Hubbard's Hardware, MESC (Michigan Employment Security Commission) and she retired from the Trust Department of Citizen's Bank in 1984 after 32 years of service. She was a member of the Zonta Club and the American Institute of Banking. Mrs. Socia loved to travel and has been in all 50 states. She also enjoyed dancing, cards, bingo, boating, golfing, eating out, and visiting friends and family. Surviving are: two daughters, Jacqueline R. and husband, William J. Metcalfe of Swartz Creek, Janet Lee Pringle Hunt and partner, Paul Seeley of Caro; grandchildren, Rex Metcalfe, Penny K. Metcalfe, William J. Metcalfe, Jr and partner, Holly. Candy L. Metcalfe and husband, Richard Logan, Nicole M. Nash and partner, Kim McKenzie, Dawn Stokes and husband, Wesley, Robert Pringle, Jr., Joseph Pringle and partner, Terri Ann and children; great-grandchildren, Rex Metcalfe III, Adrienne M. Metcalfe, Bradley C. King, Rebecca R. Metcalfe, Benjamin Metcalfe, Emilee M. Metcalfe, William J. Metcalfe IV (Jamie), Richard E. Murdock, Candy L. Murdock, Ruthanne R. Murdock, Alura M. Nash, Alex R. Nash, Viktoria G. Metcalfe, Penny M. Stokes, Justin Stokes, Robert Pringle III, Josh Pringle; great great grandchildren, Madison Rae-Lynn, Brooklyn Marie, Nathan James.
