CALECA, Leona Katherine – age 86, passed away November 19, 2014, at Maplewoods Manor. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, November 24, 2014 at All Saints Catholic Church, 4063 West Pierson Road, Flint, Monsignor Anthony Majchrowski officiating.
Burial in Crestwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation 2-8 p.m. Sunday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. A Rosary will be prayed at 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
If desired, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Mrs. Caleca was born in Saginaw, Michigan, May 8, 1928, the daughter of Margaret and Frank Cusenza. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church, promoted the miraculous medal and belonged to the Blue Army.
Mrs. Caleca retired from AC Spark Plug in 1985. She was devoted to her family and her faith; patient, steadfast, kind and loving.
She will be remembered dearly by her surviving family; sons, Joseph Caleca (Cheryl) and Daniel Caleca; daughters, Bridget Morera, Mrs. Gene (Margaret Ann) Seckora, and Cynthia Andrus; sister, Rose Cusenza; brother, Joseph Cusenza (Ethel);
eleven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph (Peno) Caleca and brother Leonard.
