JONES, William “Tom” Thomas – of Flint, MI, age 83, passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 5, 2017. Tom will be laid to rest in Soddy Presbyterian Cemetery, Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee.
Tom was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on September 22, 1933, the youngest child of Paul and Pansy (Gann) Jones. He married the love of his life, Loretta Sneed on August 30, 1953. Tom retired from the General Motors Truck Plant in Flint, MI in 1996 after 43 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, bowling and golfing.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Loretta; son, Greg (Terry) Jones; daughter, Anna Cox (Chip Christian); 7 grandchildren, Kristen (Brian) Kanicki, Lisa (Jeb) Fetters, Sara (Erik) Lavigne, Stacy (Tyler) Yerby, DeAnna (Jake) Heyza, Steven (Courtney) Donaldson and Amy (McGlothlin); 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Charles H. (Rachel) Jones; a host of many loving nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Pansy (Gann) Jones.
