PAYNE, Virginia Lee (McAulay) - Of Rankin, age 71, died peacefully Friday, November 8, 2013 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held 11am Tuesday, November 12, 2013
at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Father Roy Horning officiating.
Entombment in Crestwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to Breast Cancer Research or Autism Speaks.
Visitation 12-3pm and 5-8pm Monday at the funeral home.
Virginia was born in Flint on June 27, 1942, the daughter of the late James and Myrtle (Shields) McAulay. Virginia graduated from Holy Redeemer Catholic High School, Class of 1960. She continued her education throughout her life. She was a Tax Professional for H&R Block for over 30 years. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Flint Genealogical Society. Virginia had a passion for genealogy and spending time with her granddaughter.
Surviving are 2 sons, Donald and wife Kerry of San Diego, CA and Gregory and wife Kristine of Oxford;
granddaughter, Leah Marie Payne of Oxford;
sisters, Marilyn Reid of Waterford, Barbara and husband Joe Delmotte of West Branch and Patricia and partner Margaret Roesch of Palm Gardens, FL;
several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends and co-workers at H&R Block
