Burt, Michael “Mike” – of Clio, age 57, passed away Friday, November 22, 2024, at McLaren Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11AM, Monday December 2, 2024, at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Dan Shinabarger to officiate. Cremation to follow. The family will receive visitors on Sunday at the funeral home from 2PM until 8PM and on Monday from 10AM until the time of service. A Masonic Service will be held at 7PM on Sunday, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions the family for future designations.



Mike was born August 20, 1967, in Flint, Michigan, to Gerald Burt and Gail Synder. He graduated from Clio High School in 1985 and later married his loving wife, Debbie Maher, on September 26, 1992, sharing a lifetime of love and cherished memories. Mike worked for Fenton Memorial Vault Corporation up until 2009 when he retired due to injury. He was a valued member of the New Covenant Church community, finding solace and strength in his faith. Throughout his life, Mike was known for his infectious sense of humor, often brightening the days of those around him with his jokes and laughter. A member of the Masonic Temple in both Clio Lodge #205 and Vassar Lodge #163, Mike found camaraderie and fellowship among his brothers. He had a passion for music, particularly for the rock band Def Leppard. Mike found joy in spending quality moments with his family and friends, especially his beloved grandchildren. He had a zest for travel, he loved to visit the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. Always willing to lend a helping hand, Mike was a pillar of support for those in need, embodying selflessness and kindness in all his actions.



Surviving are: Loving wife of 32 years, Debbie Burt; Children: Alicia (Aaron) Alexander, and Cameron Burt; Grandchildren: Mason and Hadlee Alexander; Mother, Gail Stoutenburg; Brother, Tim (Bobbie) Burt; Sister-In-Law, Laura Burt; Nieces and nephews: Christopher Burt, Nathan Burt, Amanda Bliss, Courtney Burt (Mitch); Great nieces and nephews, Walter and Naomi; Many more family members He is preceded in death by his Father, Gerald “Grave Digger” Burt, Brother, Jeff Burt.
