FAUGHT, James Emerson – Of Fenton, age 80, died Thursday, August 25, 2016 at his residence.
Visitation 12-8pm Monday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Visitation 9:30am Tuesday at church until the time of the service.
Funeral service will be held at 11am Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran in Hartland, 13667 Highland Road, Hartland, MI 48353,
Pastor Christopher Thoma officiating.
Private burial in Fairview Cemetery in Linden.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran or the American Cancer Society.
Jim was born in Warren, Michigan on July 24, 1936, the son of Noble and Flora Faught. He served in the National Guard of Michigan from 1954-1956. Jim married Jane McCauley in April of 1957 in Indiana and lived in both the Flushing and Fenton areas.
Jim owned and operated Northwest Tire and Service with locations in Flint, Saginaw, Midland, Lansing and Okemos. He enjoyed snowmobiling and his annual deer hunting trip in Munising.
Jim retired in 2006 and enjoyed the Charlevoix area and spending time on his beloved boat “Majesty”.
Surviving are wife of 59 years, Jane,
4 children, Maureen and husband Chris Brading, Jim Jr. “A.J” and wife Debbie Faught, Kathleen Gehrman, and Kellie and husband Tom Missenzis;
10 grandchildren and sister, Norma Akin.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
