Guelde, Thelma Lena - Age 93, of Grand Blanc, died March 29, 2018. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Tuesday April 3 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Rd. Flint. Rev. James Leonard officiating. Visitation will be held 11AM Tuesday until the time of service. Interment to follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Thelma was born November 11, 1924 in Flint, the daughter of George Walter Shaw and Lena (Schram) Shaw. Thelma was a 1943 graduate of Flint Northern. She married Donald F. Guelde, her childhood sweetheart, in Flint on June 14, 1947; he preceded her in death on September 21, 2015. She was the office manager for Guelde Chiropractic in Burton, her husbands business, for over 30 years. Thelma remained friends with many former patients until her passing. She was a past president of Michigan Chiropractic Association Women's Auxiliary from 1971-1973. Thelma was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Grand Blanc. She was a woman of strong Christian faith who loved her family and many friends. Thelma is survived by her son, Kurt Guelde of Grand Blanc; daughter, Karen (Patrick) Powers of Lapeer; grandson, Jacob (Elizabeth) Powers; granddaughter, Ashley Powers; great-granddaughter, Iris; great-grandson, Arlo; nephew, Don Shaw of Clio; niece, Donna (Gene) Schulz of Clio; nephew, Ken (Terry) Shaw of Montrose; special friends, Barb Newtown of Swartz Creek, Julie and David Buckmaster of Fort Wayne, IN.
