Dolores was born in Flint, Michigan on March 19, 1935, the daughter of Adlor and Anna (Wittbrodt) LaClair. She attended St. Michael School in Flint where she met the love of her life and husband of 56 years, Daniel Wilson. They were married on February 6, 1954, and together loved and raised five grateful daughters. Dolores was a faithful wife, loving mother and doting grandma and GiGi. She cherished her 17 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren and was actively involved in their lives.

As busy and devoted as she was to her family, Dee found time to learn and eventually excel in the other passion in her life-golf. She and Dan were one of the first members of Flushing Valley, where she managed to be Club Champion for an incredible 22 straight years. She maintained her love of the game to the present, playing every day possible, with or without partners, even competing in a member-guest tournament with her daughter in Arizona last year. She combined two loves by participating in 15 Powers golf scrambles. Her active life included running (10 Crims), walking the trail behind Bueche’s, cross-country skiing, roller blading, bowling, tennis, even occasional down hill skiing. She appreciated the healthy body God gave her and took good care of it.

Above all else, she was a woman of great faith. She loves our God and her church. She was a member of St. Robert Parish since 1960. The last six years she was honored to serve as a Sacristan for daily Mass. This was a responsibility she treasured. She was a strong supporter of Catholic Education. She and Dan both attended St. Michaels then sent their children to St. Robert and Powers High School. She volunteered at Dukette for 10 years and was on their board of trustees. Led by her respect for all life, she also spent many years involved with Heartbeat.

Left to honor and remember Dolores are her five daughters, Karen (Bill) Boike, Kim (Dave) Brownrigg, Jo (Keith) Holzwarth, Jeri (Sonny) Webster, and Deann (Tom) Townsend; 17 grandchildren, Brian Boike, Karie McMickle, Kristin Boike Geerdes, Kasey Cogan, Karlee Hauert, Angela Eavy, Danny Brownrigg, Aarika Stovcsik, David Brownrigg, Lindsay Gilvin, Jamie Rodriguez, Ryan Holzwarth, Steven Wittenkeller, Hannah Webster, Lexi Webster, Taylor Townsend, and Tyler Townsend; 31 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Marguerite Weibel, Eileen (Bill) Toth, Rosemary Dmoch; and numerous special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dan; sister, Dorothy McMunigal; brothers, Ed LaClair and Jerry LaClair.

The family appreciates the excellent care Dolores received at the U of M Hospital, especially the compassionate staff of the palliative care unit.

Dolores touched and had an impact on everyone in her life, be it family or new friend, she was a genuine, sincere, faith-filled woman, who will be greatly missed.
