WINGFIELD, John William – Of Flint, our beloved brother, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2013. John, aka, “Wingnut” was born September 19, 1974. He graduated from Carman-Ainsworth High School in 1993. John loved singing in Chorale, playing baseball and was known for his huge personality.
His passion of music stayed with him throughout his life. He loved all types of music and could sing and play most anything by ear on the piano. His professional career was in Sales/Marketing; he could sell you anything. His greatest love was his family, which included a special bond between his sisters and the outstanding role as the famous Uncle John.
He will be greatly missed and never forgotten. John leaves behind three sisters; Kim Byers, her husband Scott, their son, Ryan and daughter, Hayli. Shawn Karbowski, her husband Brian and son Johnny. Traci Russell, her husband David and children, Sandi and Jacob Russell. Sandi, Jacob, Hayli and Johnny were John’s greatest treasure in Life. He is preceded in death by his parents, Sandi (Golombeski) Wingfield on March 13, 1991 and John David Wingfield on April 15,1999 and his grandparents. Visitation 1-9 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2013 at the funeral home, Reverend G. Patrick England officiating. Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.
