BON, Dorothy L. – of Mt. Morris, age 92, died Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Medilodge of Montrose. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at the Community of Christ Church, 4041 W. Vienna Rd. in Clio. Elders Paul and Carol Ross officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Monday from 6-8PM, Tuesday 12-8PM and at the church on Wednesday from11 AM until time of services at 1 PM. Contributions may be made to Community of Christ Church or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
Dorothy was born June 8, 1920 in Flint to the late Clifford and Orpha (Dyer) VanderKarr. Dorothy married Clarence Bon on Jun 4, 1939 in Jackson, MI. He preceded her in death on February 5, 1978. She lived in Clio from 1951 moving to Mt. Morris in 1983. She was active in her church, the Community of Christ Church.
Surviving are: daughters, Diane Taylor of TN, Darlene Moon of AZ; 8 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; brother, Alden; sister, Gladys Easlick; nieces and nephews.
