WOODS, Joyce Lou - Age 82, of Swartz Creek, died Tuesday, April 24, 2018. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Resurrection Reformed Church, 5225 Calkins Rd., Flint with Rev. Doug Kiel officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek and from 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Samaritains Purse (www.samaritanspurse.org/). Joyce was born April 29, 1935 in Newman, IL, the daughter of Clyde Dennis and Ola Leona (Jackson) Gore. She married W. James Woods on September 20, 1959 and he preceded her in death on August 3, 2001. She was a member of Resurrection Reformed Church. Surviving are: two sons, Craig (Michele) Woods of Iowa and Kyle (Danette) Woods of Flushing; six grandchildren, Zoe, Hannah, Elizabeth, Noah, Nicole and Jessica; three great-grandchildren, Avery, Addison and Elijah. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, James. The family extends a special thank you to the nurses of Emergency ICU at University Hospitals in Ann Arbor.
