Powell, Roger D. – of Davison, age 66, died Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, September 12, 2015 at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Ed Emmerling officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 4-8 PM and Saturday from 10 AM until time of service.
Roger was born January 5, 1949 in Flint, Michigan to the late Willie and Mary (Gibson) Powell. He had resided in the Flint area most of his life and graduated from Kearsley High School. Roger retired from GM's V-8 Engine Plant with 25 years of service. He enjoyed golf and working on stained glass.
Surviving are: Son, Roger Powell, Jr. of Flint; Grandson, Keagan; Brother, Ronnie (Nancy) Powell of Lansing; Roger was also preceded in death by his wife, Christine and brother, Richard. Please sign our guestbook or share an online condolence with the family at www.oguinnfh.com
