Troy Robert Wendling
Age 44 of New Lothrop passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2020 at Covenant Hospital in Saginaw.
Troy was born on January 15, 1976 to Raymond and Karen (Krupp) Wendling. He graduated from New Lothrop High School in 1994 and also from the Michigan State University Electrical Program. Troy worked at Local 948 IBEW.
During his life, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and golfing. Most of all, he enjoyed being with his family and trips to Hubbard Lake. Troy especially loved spending time with his nephew, Asher.
Troy is survived by his parents, Raymond and Karen Wendling; his sister, Tonya (Matt) Reddeman; his nephew, Asher; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is predeceased by his grandparents, Hubert and Marcella Wendling and James and Esther Krupp; his aunts, Jeanie Wendling, Holly Krupp, and MaryAnn Krupp; his uncles, Vince Wendling, Keith Krupp, and Walt Wendling; and his cousin, Joey Elmhirst.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Gift of Life.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am on Friday, June 5, 2020 at St. Michael Catholic Church of Maple Grove. Burial will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery. The family will receive friends at McGeehan Funeral Homes Martin Chapel on Thursday, June 4th from 2:00 to 8:00pm. A private family Vigil service will be held at 8:00pm and available for online viewing.
Please be aware that under the present social conditions, gathering sizes are limited to ensure public safety. While the Wendling and Krupp families are eager to see you, we must facilitate people through visitation to keep crowd sizes as low as possible. This may mean a short wait outside the funeral home as well as a shorter time visiting with the family than we can usually accommodate. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we all navigate these unusual times together. At this time, Mass at St. Michael's is limited to 25% capacity.
