LaFERNEY, Ethel Alene - Of Flint, age 99, died Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at Regency of Grand Blanc.
Funeral service will be held at 12 noon Friday, October 26, 2018 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Joe Graves officiating.
Visitation for family and close friends 10 a.m. Friday until the time of the service at 12 noon at the funeral home.
Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.
Ethel was born in Portageville, Missouri On June 8, 1919, the daughter of the late Harvey and Mattie Lee (Watson) Fisher.
Mrs. LaFerney loved her Savior Jesus Christ, she enjoyed cooking, needlework and cherished her time spent with family and friends.
Surviving are daughter, Elizabeth Jobson;
son, Mark (Mary Ann) LaFerney;
five grandchildren, Julie, Jane, Jim, Lindsey and Brad;
several great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren;
one sister, Rose Ellen Reed;
two brothers, Jake (Shelly) Fisher and Harvey (Edna) Fisher.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Phineas, in 1994; two infant
sons, Ben and Michael; son-in-law, Larry Jobson; great-grandson, Bryce Carson; great-great-grandson, Jett Jobson and brother, Landon Fisher.
