Dr. Paul S. Rogers, D.D.S.
Age 63 years, died Wednesday, May 30, 2012 doing what he loved. He was born on April 8, 1949 in Bloomington, Indiana. Paul was a graduate of the University of Detroit Dental School. In 1990 he received his Fellowship and in 2000 his Masters Degree from the Academy of General Dentistry. Paul had been practicing dentistry for 40 years. He was a thrill seeker, enjoying many of the extreme sports, including scuba diving, snowboarding, water and snow skiing, golfing and especially flying. He was a member of the Bay Area Rotorcraft and Ultralight Club.
Survivors include his father, Chester Rogers; brother and sister: James (Nina) Rogers and Maryann (Ken) Allen; his ex-wife to whom he was married to for 29 years, Lynne Rogers; two daughters, Dr. Corinne Rogers and Jill (Scott) Callahan; three grandchildren: Kristi, Liam, and Cameron Callahan; and his special companion, Gail Schultz. He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Ann (Schubnell) Rogers.
Cremation will take place and Visiting Hours will be held Saturday, June 2, 2012 from 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM, with a time of sharing at 4:00 PM, at the W. A. Trahan Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Save our Shoreline or Just for Kids.
Everyone is encouraged to wear pink to the funeral chapel, which is Paul’s favorite color. |
