GOODMAN, ROSE – Of Fenton, age 95, died Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at her residence.

Visitation 4-8 p.m. Friday, September 6, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Parastas Service will be held 7 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, September 7, 2019 at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 2143 S. Center Road, Burton, beginning with a Divine Liturgy at 9am, with the funeral service starting at 11am. Everyone is invited to attend both the Liturgy and Funeral Service.

Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date.

Contributions may be made to St. Nicholas Orthodox Church.

Rose was born in Flint, Michigan on February 22, 1924, the daughter of the late John and Alexandria (Semenuik) Waskerwitz.
On August 27, 1949, she married John Goodman in Flint. Rose was a life-long member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church where she was very active. She was an avid golfer and loved spending the Winters in Brownsville, Texas with her husband, John. Rose was a friend to everyone and was loved by everyone.

Surviving are children, Stephen Goodman of Fenton, Dennis and wife Eileen of Flint;

grandson, Benjamin of Royal Oak;

sister-in-law, Dorothy Goodman of Grand Blanc;

and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John; son, Michael and daughter-in-law, Susan.
