DUGUAY, Willodean “Deanie” – of Burton, age 83, passed away with family by her side on Friday, August 16, 2019 after a long and courageous battle with kidney disease. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service, in memory of Deanie will be held at 2PM Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Westside Church – 5090 Pasadena Ave., in Flint. Pastor Ed Emmerling officiating. The family will receive visitors at the church on Saturday from 12PM until the time of service at 2PM. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Deanie was born December 20, 1935 in Mississippi to the late L.B. and Hester (Eaton) Willingham. She married William “Bill-Dug” Duguay on May 22, 1959 in Flint. He preceded her in death on January 16, 2002. Deanie worked in the cosmetic department at Meijer on center Rd., for over 10 years. She was a member of Westside Church where she dedicated her life to Jesus Christ. Deanie was a strong willed and determined woman who always gave everything her all. She found great joy donating to charities close to her heart. Above all, Deanie loved being surrounded by her family and cherished all the gatherings and big family meals shared together. Her family was the light of her life.
Surviving are: Children: Douglas Willingham, Rita (Joesph) Haddy, Carol Rhodes, Cheryl (Darrell) Hillard, Donna (Jerry) Crossnoe, and Donald “Butchie” Duguay; 16 grandchildren: Amber, Jamie, Steven, Michael, Joshua, Nick, Isaac, Franklin, Emily, Terry, Christina, Ida, Tracy, Kenneth, Carrie, and Katrina; 42 great grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter on the way; Siblings: Marshall (Mary Jane) Willingham, Betty Parra, and Elaine Willingham.
