MARSH, Clyde O. - Of Flint, age 80, died Friday, April 8, 2016 at McLaren-Flint with his family by his side.
Visitation 2-8pm Thursday and 11am Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be held 1pm Friday, April 15, 2016 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Bishop Jerry Stoner officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
Clyde was born in Manton, Michigan on October 1, 1935, the son of the late Irvin and Irene Marsh. Clyde married Jeanette Mayhorn in March, 1967 in Flint. Clyde enjoyed cars and car shows and won best of show at Sloan Museum. He was meticulous about his yard and how it looked, enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing pool, camping and spending time with his family. He retired as a General Foreman at GM Fisher Body Cadillac in 1992 after 38 years of service.
Surviving are wife, Jeanette;
3 children, Pam and husband Jeff Murphy, Wanda and husband Scott Parker and Donetta Mahon;
daughter-in-law, Julie Marsh;
7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren;
sister, Joyce and husband Larry LeMieux; brother, Gary and wife Carleen Marsh; sister, Patricia and husband Kevin Lipe;
very special friends, Duke Blue and David Parker;
several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Misty.
He was preceded in death by his son, Mark Marsh, and brother, Duane Marsh.
