Stone, June Crystal of Flushing, age 85, died Sunday, May 10, 2015, at Kith Haven, Flint. Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at Rossell Funeral Home, Pastor Ron Scott officiating. Burial will follow at Flushing Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Wednesday. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
June was born in Edmore, MI on January 20, 1930, the daughter of Charles and Aileen (Banks) Valentine. She married George Lee Stone at Flushing United Methodist Church on June 27, 1948. June worked at the former Walter Winchester Hospital in Flint Township and then later as a school bus driver for the Flushing Community Schools and was also well known as a dog groomer. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
June leaves to cherish her memory: her husband of 67 years, George; three daughters, Penny Bottoms of Flushing, Becky Freiburger of Flushing, Georgia Carter of Davison; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Phyllis Jean Hendricks of Florida, Charleen Neal of Kith Haven, Flint; sister-in-law, Loretta Valentine of Flushing; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Aileen Valentine; and brother, Charles Valentine Jr. |
