ROGERS, Barbara Ann - age 59, of Linden, passed away peacefully August 5, 2019 after a short battle with cancer.
Barbara was born September 7, 1959 in Tawas City to Gerald Don and Veronica Elizabeth (Blust) Gracik. She graduated from Tawas Area High School in 1977. Barbara graduated from Hurley School of Nursing in 1980 and later Ferris State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She married Lee Roy Rogers September 28, 1984. Barbara enjoyed a long career as a Registered Nurse at Hurley Hospital and after retirement finished her career at McLaren Hospital. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and Tyrone Hills Golf Club. Barbara was an avid golfer, Detroit Tigers fan, loved animals, and enjoyed games of chance. She was a talented musician and singer, and loved to travel.
Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Gracik. Surviving are her beloved husband, Lee; sons, Jason, Dustin, and Joseph Rogers; grandchildren, Micah and Harper; mother, Veronica Gracik; siblings, Tom (Laurie) Gracik, Linda (Scott) Potts, Jerry (Julie) Gracik, Jim (Sharon) Gracik, Lori (Jeff) Wojahn, Lisa (Joe) Frappier; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place Friday, August 9, 2019 from 2PM- 9PM at Sharp Funeral Home, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd, Fenton, Michigan, with Rosary Service at 7 PM.
On Saturday, August 10, 2019 visitation will begin at 9 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton, with Funeral Mass being celebrated at 10AM; Fr. Ryan Riley celebrant.
Interment at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, East Tawas, at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions in Barbara’s name to assist with medical expenses.
