CAMDEN, Max “Mac” Camden - Of Fenton, age 78, went to be with the Lord at 11:30 on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 surrounded by his family.
Funeral service will be held 1pm Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Harvest Time Tabernacle, G7370 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc,
Pastor Darrell Ward and Reverend Don Mullins officiating.
Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
Visitation 1-8pm Friday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Visitation 11am Saturday at church until the time of the service.
Max was born in Kimball, West Virginia on March 7, 1938. On September 7, 1963, he married Betty Lester and they have faithfully stood by each other’s side. He served his country in the Army and the Reserves, then worked for General Motors until he retired in 2007. He was a founding member of Harvest Time Tabernacle in Grand Blanc where he participated in the construction and served on the Board for 44 years.
Surviving are his loving wife of 53 years, Betty;
Daughters, Frances (Joel) Hubbard of Swartz Creek, Vicky (Marty) Sandlin of Swartz Creek, and Linda (Ken) Boling of Fenton, Donald Dean(Dawn) Mullins of Nappanee, IN, who he considered a son;
10 grandkids Brittnee, Misty, Jordan, Emilee, Hunter, Andrew, Aubrey, Ashley, Carson and Autumn;
Six siblings, Edith Castle, Roy (Betty) Camden, Gene (Phylis) Camden, Delores (Garland) Garris all of West Virginia, Charles (Gloria) Camden and Carl (Kay) Camden of Virginia;
Along with a multitude of nieces, nephews, family, church family and friends.
Max will forever be remembered for his huge personality, infectious laugh, his love of God and his family, and his crazy stories.
He was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Ellie Camden, two brothers Frankie and George, and his mother and father-in-law, Minerva and Floyd Lester.
