CAPUA, Laura – of Fenton, age 64, died Friday, June 14, 2019 at Suncrest in Lapeer. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in honor of Laura 6PM, Monday, June 17, 2019 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Chaplain Paul Mabry officiating. Family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday from 3PM until the time of service at 6PM. Memorial contributions may be made to ASPCA.
Laura was born November 11, 1954 in Flint, Michigan to the late Maurice and Betty (Meyer) Galant. She graduated from Kearsley High School in 1972. Laura earned an Associated Degree in Math from Delta Community College in 1996. She married John C. Capua on March 15, 1985 in Bay City, Michigan. He preceded her in death December 4, 2008. Laura was the owner, operator and head photographer of Treasured Memories in Clarkston. She was a previous member of Potters Wheel Church in Fenton. Laura enjoyed playing Bingo, making ceramics, and reading. Most of all, Laura enjoyed spending her time being a loving mother.
Surviving are: Children: Nicholas (Robin) Robbins and Melissa Fabbri; Grandchildren: Stanley Robbins, Ian Robbins, Amy Fabbri, and Katherine Fabbri; Brothers: Eric (Debra) Galant, Brian Galant, and Brad (Judy) Galant; Sister, Brenda Hathaway and many dear nieces and nephews.
