CUTHBERT, George Hugh – of Flint, MI, age 65, passed away suddenly at his residence on Saturday, August 17, 2019. A Funeral Liturgy will be held 1 PM Friday, August 23, 2019 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. The family will receive visitors 2-8 PM Thursday, August 22, 2019 and 12-1 PM Friday, August 23, 2019 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
George was born in Flint, MI on January 21, 1954, son of the late George and Josephine (Smith) Cuthbert. He grew up with his 8 siblings in Flint, MI. George remained in the Flint area throughout his life, attending Flint schools. He was employed by the City of Flint Water Department for over 15 years. George was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle. He enjoyed traveling, cars, casinos and attending concerts. George especially enjoyed spending time with his family and life-long friends, Roger, Mark, Dave, Betty and Barb. He would make any stranger a friend and never let anyone walk away cold or hungry. George will be dearly missed by all.
George leaves behind to cherish his memory, 4 children, sons, Michael (Dilya), Jeffrey (Marie) and Kevin; daughter, Ann (Daryl); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Bonnie (Bob), Joyce and Kay (Dan); brother, David; sister-in-law, Jeannie; brother-in-law, Dale; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, George (Josephine) Cuthbert; 3 brothers, Bobby, Rick and Jed; sister, Shirley; nephew, Chuck; grandson, Jeffrey and many other loved ones.
