CHRISTENSEN, Clarice P. - Of Mundy Township, age 96, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family Monday, June 1, 2015.
A Memorial Service will be held 1pm Friday, June 5, 2015 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Visitation 10am Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Carriage Town Mission or Smile Train, Genesee County Humane Society or Paws Rescue Group.
Clarice had an excellent sense of humor and was a source of constant loving support to all of her family.
Clarice is survived by nine children, Hans (Marie) Christensen, Kirsten Ing, Karla Howard, Nels "Pete" (Vicki) Christensen, Krista Collins, Dane (Jill) Christensen, Andrea (Tom) Yaklin) Lars Christensen, Sten (Sheri) Christensen;
19 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson;
special niece, Patty Ann VanSlyke;
best friend, Mary Weber and many nieces and nephews;
She loved her pets and leaves her cats, Grace and Hannah Pearle.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Berton Christensen, grandson, Nels Howard, brothers, Wayne and Lloyd Maidment and parents, Lloyd and Pearle Maidment.
The family is grateful to Gentiva Hospice for their expert loving care of mother and support for our family.
