OCKERMAN, Mary Len – of Davison, age 85, passed away at home June 13, 2014. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Monday, June 16, 2014 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St., Davison; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Burial will be in St. John Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 PM Sunday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. On Monday, visitation will be at the church from 10 AM until the time of Mass. A Rosary will be prayed 6:30 PM Sunday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, Powers Catholic High School or Home Hospice Advantage.
Mary Len was born in Flint, MI on April 16, 1929, daughter of the late Leonard and Dorothy (Young) Lash. She married Dale Ockerman on August 28, 1948. Mary Len was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and St. Theresa Guild. She retired from Flint Community Schools where she was a Food Service Clerk.
Mary Len is survived by her husband, Dale; children, Debra (Dave) Palma, Kendra (Tom) Goergen, Craig (Michelle) Ockerman, Doug (Marsha) Ockerman, Phil (Carrie) Ockerman, Carrie (Chuck) Weidenhammer, Lori (Matt) McKay; 18 grandchildren, Kristen (Michael) Ovadek, Kimberly (Jay) Gardiner, Kellie (Reno) Ybarra, Jennifer (Shannon) Wade, Eric (Alissa) Goergen, Jaime Ockerman, Amy Ockerman, Nicole (Eric) Morse, Matthew (Mollie) Ockerman, Emily Ockerman, Katie (Rob) Mitchell, Caron Ockerman, Jeffery (Naomi) Ockerman, Steven Ockerman, Nicholas (Liz) Weidenhammer, Kyle (Angie) Weidenhammer, Megan McKay and Brent McKay; 19 great-grandchildren, Michael Ovadek II, Parker Ovadek, Natalie Ovadek, Tyler Ybarra, Mallorie Ybarra, Madyson Ybarra, Timothy Ybarra, Caitlin Wade, Ian Wade, Cameron Morse, Spencer Morse, Noah Ockerman, Chloe Ockerman, Grant Mitchell, Hannah Weidenhammer, Alex Weidenhammer, Carolina Ockerman, Jeffery Ockerman and baby Gardiner on the way; sister-in-law, Evelyn Lash. She was preceded in death by brother, Richard Lash, father and mother-in-law, Martin and Margaret Ockerman.
