LODER, Alice – Of Winona Lake, IN, age 96, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, May 24, 2015 at her granddaughter’s residence.
Funeral service will be held 11am Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Trinity Baptist Church, 4222 North Elms Road, Flushing,
Pastor Kevin Thoman officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Trinity Baptist Church.
Visitation 2-8pm Wednesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Visitation 10am Thursday at the church until the time of the service.
Alice was born in Flint on July 18, 1918, the daughter of the late Ralph and Clara (Seltzer) Coupland and was a lifetime resident of Flint. On October 7, 1939, she married Leonard K. Loder at Third Avenue Baptist Church in Flint. He preceded her in death in 2000. Alice was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and a former member of Faith Baptist Church of Davison.
Surviving are children, Stanley (Sue Ellen) of Keyser, WV, Paul (Sandie) of Indianapolis, IN, Lois (Jim) Aspin of Flint, and Daniel (Carol) of Easley, SC;
17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren;
and 2 nieces.
She was also preceded in death by sister, Hazel Springgay and brother, Raymond Coupland.
