RODRIGUEZ, José Felix (Joe) - Of Flint, age 72, died Friday, April 26, 2024.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held 11am Monday, May 13, 2024 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 2316 Coldwater Road, Flint.

Visitation 10am Monday at church until the time of the service.
Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
José was born in Texas on March 19, 1952, the son of the late Felix and Berta (Trujillo) Rodriguez. He was raised on the east side of Flint and attended Lowell Junior High and Flint Central High School. After high school, José was drafted into the United States Army. He served one year stateside and one year in Germany. José was employed by the C&O Railroad and McLaren Hospital. He retired after many years from McLaren Hospital. José married Pamela Jo Gebhardt on January 19, 1980. Unfortunately, after the recent loss of his wife Pamela, life became difficult. José was lost and saddened without his true love! When José was growing up he always liked to hang out with friends at Griffins Pool Hall. He enjoyed playing cards with his high school buddies. He enjoyed playing blooperball. He really enjoyed sitting back and listening to music. José was well liked by his co-workers at McLaren Hospital. His favorite sport teams were the University of Michigan, Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions and Michigan State Basketball. José enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
The family would like to acknowledge Dan and Kaprice Lundberg for all their many years of neighborly friendship and assistance.
Surviving are daughter, Andrea Rodriguez;
Siblings, Oscar (Reneé) Rodriguez, Rudy (Laura) Rodriguez, Susie (Frank) Slatton; and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela in 2023 and sisters, Janie and Maria “Mary”.
