ZALIZNY, Kathleen – age 87, of Davison, passed away June 5, 2017 at Wellbridge of Fenton. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 AM Friday, June 9, 2017 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St., Davison; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. A private entombment will be held. The family will receive visitors 2-4 PM and 5-8 PM Thursday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. There will also be one hour of visitation prior to the Mass on Friday at church. A Rosary will be prayed at 7 PM Thursday followed by a Memorial Service under the auspices of the Daughters of Isabella Regina Coeli Circle #1095 at 7:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Daughters of Isabella Regina #1095.
Kathleen was born in Flint, MI on September 19, 1929, daughter of the late Patrick and Alice (Welsh) Dorrian. She married Mathew Zalizny on July 12, 1952 at Holy Redeemer in Burton. Kathleen was a member of St. John Catholic Church, the Daughters of Isabella #1095, St. Patrick Guild and the Altar Society. She loved reading, gardening, music and dancing but most importantly loved every minute spent with her family.
Kathleen is survived by her husband, Mathew; children, Patrick (Cindy), Thomas (Barbara), Nora (Brian) Steibel, Janet Opila; grandchildren, Rachel (Nick), Matthew (Jenna), Kyle (Ashley), Jessica, Joshua; three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Thomas; sister, Patricia; brother, William.
