LACEY, Fred H. – of Davison, age 88, passed away July 5, 2018 at Genesys Health Park. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Monday, July 9, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 706 W. Flint St., Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Todd Frusti officiating. Burial, with Military Honors, will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 3-8 PM at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Monday at church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hallsey United Methodist Church - “Old Timers.”
Fred was born in Flint, MI on May 16, 1930, son of the late Clyde and Mayme (Bassett) Lacey. He married Doris Larson on August 21, 1954 and she preceded him in death in 2006. Fred honorably served his country in the United States Army in the Korean War. Fred retired from Larson’s Ace Hardware after 39 years of service. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and loved to dance and sing.
Fred is survived by his sons, Ken Lacey, Michael (special friend, Janet) Lacey and Tim Lacey; grandchildren, Kenny (Summer) Lacey, Brenda (Jeremy) Rubel, Stephanie (Andrew) Miller and Angie (Ryan) Wilhelm; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Joe (Betty) Lacey and Clyde Lacey; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by brothers, Nick and Ted Lacey; daughter-in-law, Kathy Renee Lacey.
