Conlin Q. Smith age 81 of Branch, MI formerly of Durand passed away Saturday, June 9, 2018 at his home. A mass of the Christian burial will be 10:30 AM, Thursday, June 14, 2018 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Durand. Burial will follow to Greenwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 2-8 PM at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Durand Chapel. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM.
Conlin was born November 3, 1936 in Crystal Lake, MI a son of Michael and Evelyn (Conlin) Smith. On December 28, 1962 he married Judith Hatt. He enjoyed all outdoor activities. Prior to his retirement in 1995, he was a teacher at Durand Area Schools for 32 years.
Conlin is survived by his wife, Judith Smith; children, Michael Smith, Kelly (Christopher) Flood, Scott (Stacie) Smith and Jeffrey (Donna) Smith; grandchildren, Bryan, Jessica, Rachel, Branden, Ashley, Krystal and Sophia; sister, Jan Scott and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Michael and Evelyn Smith and his sister, Evelyn Ramseier.
