KOZLOWSKI, Stella – of Flint, age 93, passed away Friday, September 13, 2013 at Wynwood of Grand Blanc. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:30 AM Monday, September 16, 2013 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5199 Richfield Rd., Flint, Rev. Fr. George Puthenpeedika celebrant. Burial, with Military Honors, will be in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. The family will welcome visitors from 11:30 AM-8 PM on Sunday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. A Rosary will be prayed at 6 PM on Sunday followed by a Daughters of Isabella Memorial Service at 6:30 PM. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the Mass on Monday at church.
Stella was born in Wyandotte, MI on August 12, 1920, daughter of the late Ignacy and Elenora (Goreski) Balamucki. She proudly served her country in the U.S. Navy. Stella married Charles Kozlowski on August 16, 1947 and preceded her in death on June 5, 2004. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella, Regina Coeli Circle of Davison. She also enjoyed working in her garden.
Stella is survived by daughters, Eleanore Evans, Jeanette (Ted) Goldstein, Kathleen (Chris) Helzer; grandchildren, Lachelle Kirbitz, Brent (Cindy) Evans, Aleesha (Randy) Kilbreath, Robert (Kellie) Goldstein, Laurie (Jeff) Goldstein-Spaude, Alan (Elisha) Goldstein, Glen (Charlotte) Jones, Jr., Kathleen (fiancé Mike) Dolliver; 18 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sister, Wanda Pappenheimer; brother, Edward (Violet) Balamucki; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sister, Cassy Balamucki; brother, Mitchell Balamucki.
