MOODY, Juanita Ellen. “Muhga” – of Mt. Morris, age 70, passed away Monday, May 23, 2016 at her residence surrounded by loving family members and friends. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held 1PM Friday, May 27, 2016 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Ed Emmerling officiating. Family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 11AM until the time of service. Those desiring may make a contribution, in memory of Juanita to the McLaren Hospice.
Juanita was born August 11, 1945 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Clyde W. and Mariza M. (Skutt) Munsell. She graduated from Beecher High School in 1963 and later attended Baker College. Juanita married Gerald B. Moody on April 22, 1964. She managed several convenient stores throughout the years, was employed with McLaren Hospital and was also a home health aide. Juanita was a member of T.O.P.S. in Otisville. She enjoyed scrapbooking, crocheting, sewing, traveling, cooking, canning and computer games. Juanita loved all animals, but above all loved her family and grandchildren.
Surviving are: Husband, Gerald Moody Sr., of Mt. Morris; 5 children: Ken (Brenda) Moody of Bluffton, Indiana, Gerald (Kim) Moody Jr., of Roscommon, Dale Moody of Mt. Morris, Bill (Beth) Moody of Mt. Morris and Michelle (Todd) Brisboe of Bancroft; 13 grandchildren: Jamey, Nikki, Stephanie, Michelle, Steven, Richard, Jackie, John, Trishia, Zachery, Kelsee, D.J. and Luke; 10 great grandchildren: Sabrina, Rebecca, Cameron, CeCe, Joy, Bastian, Gabe and Azalea, Hunter and Elsa; Siblings: Eugene Munsell and Barbara Kellogg; Brother in law, Gary Burton; Special friend who was with her till the end, JoJo; Loving cat, Tinky; many other loving family members and scrapbooking friends; Juanita was preceded in death by her sister, Sherry Burton; Brother, Truman Munsell and granddaughter, Morgan Moody. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful hospice nurses: Makella, Jaina, Gwen and Melissa and the staff at McLaren Chemo Center for all their love and care.
