On July 7, 2015, Shirley Marlene (Christian) Dipzinski passed away peacefully in her sleep. Her death followed her 96 year old mother’s by only 2 days. Shirley was 79 years old. The oldest of 7 children, she was born on May 12, 1936 in Detroit, Michigan to Franklin and Adeline Christian. On May 16, 1953 she married Ronald Dipzinski in Gaylord, Michigan. They were married 62 years. Together they raised 3 daughters in Flushing, Michigan. In 1954 Shirley was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. For over 60 years she was an avid bible student and enjoyed sharing bible truths with others. Shirley’s daughters wholeheartedly appreciate her support of and contributions to their spiritual education and activity. She will also be remembered for her genuine love of her friends, her family and those related to her in the faith. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She was also a sincerely generous person who will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents Franklin and Adeline, Brother Franklin Christian and sister Carole Quiroz and brothers-in-law James and Patrick Dipzinski. She is survived by husband Ronald, daughters Diana (Dale) Pryor, Victoria (Dan) Carter and Laura. Also surviving are grandchildren Cherish (Daniel) Salay, Joshua Carter, Chad Pryor, Nicole (Jared) Frank, Chelsia (Lee) Hendricks, Charlton (Devyn) Pryor. She was blessed to have a third generation of offspring, great grandchildren, Ayshton Salay, Rylee Hendricks, Alexandria Salay, Elizabeth Frank and twins Aerieanna and Heaven Pryor, Also surviving are sisters Mary (Chuck) Zombor and Linda (Joseph) Kulpa, sisters-in-law Gloria Moorehead, Joan Jones, Mary Dipzinski, Sally (Claude) Huff and brother-in-law Lawrence (Noreen) Dipzinski, along with many nieces and nephews. Shirley believed in the bible’s promise of a resurrection (John 5:28, 29.) We will see you in the paradise Mom. |
