Johnson, Tim S. of Harrisville, formerly of Flushing, age 89, died Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at the University of Michigan Health System in Ann Arbor. Visitation will be 1-6 p.m. Monday, May 9, 2016, at Rossell Funeral Home, no services will be held. A private burial will take place Tuesday at Sunset Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Tim was born in Saginaw, Michigan in 1926, the son of Luther and Gertrude (Williams) Johnson. He married Wanda Dickenson in Flint, Michigan in 1947. Wanda preceded him in death on January 16, 1996. Tim served in the Army infantry in Germany, France and Belgium during World War II. He was a car salesman at McNallys for over 20 years. Tim enjoyed playing golf and was a member of the Flushing Valley Golf Club. He loved taking road trips across the country with his daughter, Kathyrn. Tim also enjoyed watching the freighters on Lake Huron with his telescope.
Tim is survived by his daughter, Kathyrn; grandchildren, Jane, Elle, Paul; good friend, Mike Newman; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda; daughter, Suzanne; son-in-law, Kim Jewell; brothers, Tom, T.Ray, Jack, Dando; and sister, Ann. |
